First Person of India, Next

First Person of India, Next

Some random thoughts -

Ever since we became an independent country - almost all sorts of people have been represented as the President of India.

Unknown faces ( to the majority of the country's populace, like... Pratibha Patil ) became President of the country. Brought into by the majority ruling parties or a covert clique or some vested interests group.

Having stated that...

Till this date - we have NOT had a President of India from any of the Indian states ( specifically the erstwhile BIMARU ones ) hailing from any of the native vaisya communities/ castes - i.e. any and/ or all of -

a) Significant mercantile/ bania/ traders community, or

b) cattle rearing communities ( specifically to be read as - Yadavs across India ), or

c) agriculture based trading communities ( eg. - kurmis, koeris, patidars, patels, etc. ), or

d) from the Kalcuri clan (  few or probably significant numbers of them might still be engaged in the liquors, toddy, etc. trades;  etc. ).

etc., etc.

Significantly -
almost a good majority or almost all of these broadly categorized people DO claim an ancient kshatriya lineage... of yore.

Contrarily/ contradictorily...
this claim is somehow often and always downplayed by the priestly class or their non-same-lineaged off-springs and/ or their cozy/ bosom 'chosen' mates... since the past, at best, couple of... bygone centuries.

...
...
...

Now, cutting onto the point...

We are onto the threshold of entering turbulent times, internationally.

Actually... we are already into the thick of it.

So, for a change... ( of guard ?) and for diversity - we must need have others also represented in the national main stream.

After all the President of India is the supreme commanders of our armed forces.

Letting aside an encore of... a select set of veteran political players... those few calling the shots... again... and, again... and, again... one after the other... since we gained independence, at the expense of others.

It is high time that the next President of India be from any of the extended and extensive vaisya communities/ caste groups.

In this context the name of the politicians - Shri Sharad Yadav and Shri S.S. Ahluwalia rings.

...
...

Note - This is an elicited post, out of me.

I have had NIL interest or business writing any/ all these posts.

Do I blame the Nath yogis for all these posts ? They, somehow, got me started into all this stuff ?

Well does ... Kedar Nath !! Ring a bell ??

...
...

Frankly...

I do NOT gain. Even gain friends or well-wishers.

Yet... So be it.
