On Chanakya

Chanakya was a honorable man.

He was originally from some suburbs of Magadha ( present day Bihar ), rather than a Namboodiri brahmin from Kerala.

Reasoning -
The Nanda kings from Patliputra would have definitely tried many times to take over
Kerala.

Therefore, in all possibility, relations with the then Kerala kings would NOT have been friendly, but rather quite the opposite.

So... highly possible that any Nanda king would hardly look at any Namboodiri brahmin as his well wisher, even if he were to hail from Taxila Univ.

Even, a sane Namboodiri brahmin would understand the futility of his trying to reason with the Nanda king or his administration. Knowing that his words, as a Namboodiri brahmin will not be heeded to.

Were he really a Namboodiri brahmin then after ChandraGupta Maurya's coronation, he would have ensured to invade the ( present day ) Kerala in order to amalgamate the same in the Magadhan empire.

...

In the modern context, while ensuring that he had plethora of luscious apples abounding; he would be wary of BAD apples.
Bad apple could also mean a "TAKSHAK" hiding underneath. i.e. a venomous snake up one's sleeve. As, King Parikshit met his fate...

In current context, were Chanakya around, he would be always be on the lookouts for probable or potential - JAYACHANDS and/ or MIR JAFAR types.

That SIMPLY would imply NO WITCH HUNTING IN BROAD DAY LIGHT, amongst the masses.

It would mean that he would be ever vigilant for such elements in very high places, higher circles/ echelons of power.

In the current context - such elements use pretty much extreme decoy, with sweet words and grand intentions. They would be very much wary of NOT annoying others, how-so-ever.
Lest they be put under some unwarranted scrutiny/ undue focus.

Mostly, these elements will have a pout with a beneficent smile.
Perhaps, with pseudo-LEGAL mind/ mind-set, as warrants the situation.

Chanakya would be on the lookout for such elements.

Chanakya would NOT think/ care for finding mamabas, in Bharat varsha.

...

As an aside...
Chanakya knew using buttermilk in three forms and formats to invite ants of three types to affect the pernicious roots of a thorny plant ( say ) in three-fold manner.
