For I have had NIL intention to offer my ideas on such things which are way TOO out of my domain.

On Brahm-Bhoj in Sanatana Dharma


Few years back, I went for Brahm Bhoj nay 'Daawat' ( = Feast ).

Generally, I avoid attending such "bhoj-bhaats".

Therein, I saw a good wastage of the money by way of giving the Brahm bhoj ( = feast ) by the family of the deceased person.

Brahm-Bhoj is given as a way of ending the 10-13 day mourning session, after soneone's death.


HEREIN...
The amount of money spent becomes huge if one considers that if the same spent amount is kept in a bank under a compounding interest scheme for -
20/ 30/ 40/ 50/ 100 years becomes such a huge amount of money.

What money is thus spent ( say this is the PRINCIPAL amount, upfront ) could be otherwise put in a compounding interest scheme in a bank, and
thereby saved.

WHAT ABOUT -
Money spent MUST be seen as an UPFRONT ( = initial ) principal amount for the investment.

That money can easily be utilised to establish in life a couple of the sons/ daughters/ grand-sons/ grand-daughters ( of the the already deceased person ) in life. For good.

What a waste. What a waste.

All... Whilst certain set of people make merry. The money thus lavishly spent by the dead person's family - goes on to add to the coffers of a certain set of people.

Would it NOT be much more convenient to go for the 4-day Arya Samaj method as propounded by Swami DayaNanda Saraswati ?

Some REAL SMART set of people MUST bring out an AMALGAM between these two methods.

i.e. retaining the 13-day mourning period ( as a NEEDED  < 1 % ) whilst utilizing the Arya Samaj VEDIC method to do the ( so to say > 99 % ) of the needful.

After all - we are NOT living in villages, anymore.
That people gather and mourn for 10/ 13 days, all at one go.

In modern times... life is FAST.

END NOTE -
Btw if today someone is told that (s)he be the sole beneficiery of all the money spent by her/ his ancestors over the past 200 - 500 - 1000 years...

The money spent was to be LOCKED in a banking instrument - say, a compounding interest scheme.

Needless to say - today they would be as rich as the Birlas, Tatas and Ambanis, COMBINED.

Am I right on this ?

SANATANA DHARMINs aka Hindus - Just think about it.

We ALL seem to have a perspective on the dowry system.

What about paring of unnecessary expenditure in Brahm bhoj.

Few months back - one sitting MLA in Jharkhand had a sudden death. Died mysteriously.
Supposedly of heart attack. Highly doubtful. Am skeptical.

Several months back - a speeding truck overran a railway crossing. Rammed into a passing train thereby killing a sitting MLA ( perhaps from Karnataka ), amongst others ( perhaps in AP ).

How so weird/ strange that the truck rammed into an MLA !

CCC) Industrialist -

Lord Swaraj Pauls' son leaps to death in UK.
Read in the newspaper few months back.

Why ? What motive / motivation ?


DDD) Few rationalists -

Dr MM Kalburgi was murdererd last year.

Dr MM Kalburgi was a confirmed intellectual and a rationalist.

Primarily... he was a KALBURGI, and perhaps from Kalburgi. Therefore, more so likely, averse to the priestly class and their machinations.

Hence... a rationalist... a pragmatic individual.

Rather than a blind believer ( ANDH-VISWAASI ).


Dabholkar and Pansare, as well. Could be falling the self same category. Perhaps for the same reason.

NOTABLE QUESTION -
Rationalist does NOT mean someone who is averse to SANATANA DHARMA.

Rationalist could very well mean someone who rather has faith in a formless aspect of GOD ( nirakar, nirguna, nirvair,... etc. etc. ).

And... DOES NOT fall under the category of blind believers ( ANDH-VISWAASI ) types.

i.e. - one believes first and later... after "x" years one'll be redeemed ?


EEE) Some political activist -


A common thread amongst the recent killings...

Prashant Poojary, Vaman Poojary, Dr M. M. Kalburgi

Prashant Poojary ( perhaps an RSS activist ) was killed in Karnataka. Suspicion could be political/ social rivalry. Natural suspects could be Muslim activists.

However, the lone eye-witness to his killing; his uncle Vaman Poojary is also removed from the whole picture.

Question is Why ? And... is there more than meets the picture ?

For... the natural result of these killings is...
the Poojarys or the Biilavas as a endogamous social groups and such similar social groups will be markedly polarised in favour of the BJP/ RSS ideology.

Is that the moot idea of these wanton killings ?

Personally...
Btw... I would NOT expect any stray or organized Muslim activist to kill any of these set of people mentioned in EEE) and achive results in favor of BJP / RSS.

So... WHO DUNNIT ?

QUESTION -
Is there any political party that benefits out of these killings ? Be your own judge.


FFF) Two ex-CMs.

During the outbreak of the deadly swine flu in Dec, 2014 / Jan, 2015

ex-CMs' of two of the Indian states were infected.

Luckily both of them recouped.
( The IPS officer in the J&K cadre was NOT lucky enough ).

It 'll be interesting and worth-while to note these ex-CMs' - social / political decisions thence-forth.

One of these CMs' recently recalled an old buddy ( ?? ), back into the party.

Question is -
Why ?
Why would he do the same whilst... most likely, majority of his close
associates would likely resent this move.

Or,... is this home-coming the payoff of an earlier planted matrimonial alliance ?

"Chakkar kya hai ??"

CONTEXTUAL QUESTION -
Is it possible -
Does some set of people, alone, have a potent anti-dote for the 'n'th strain of a bio-pandemic like swine flu ?

As opposed to what is already available ?

Recently, in the Indian state of Jharkhand one came across a peculiarly weird news. If similar were to be the situation in all the other Indian states, then this might serve as a REAL eye opener...

BTW_111 -
I often wonder why the state- Jharkhand was named as "Jhar"+"Khand" and WHY NOT actually as Dev + Khand = DevKhand.

After all - the famous Jyotirlinga at Baidya-Nath Dham is at Deo-Ghar.
... right since the Treta Yuga.

So, DevKhand IS the apt name for the state.

the Yuga system reminds me that the Jains have their own Yuga system.

What transpired in the State assembly is worth noting VERY importantly -

Some Jharkhand MLAs' demanded raising the SC/ ST/ OBCs'reservation cap from 49 % odd level set by the Supreme Court to 69 % / 72 % levels - as in Tamil Nadu !!

As usual there was HUGE furore over this demand in the state assembly.

FURORE !!

And, nothing transpired much out of this.
Which was TRULY expected by almost ALL.
And much cherished/ celebrated by the "minority turned majority".
ALL - NOTE THIS.

There are a few notable points to be observed out of this assembly discussions; as I read in the news-papers, which stated... -

One MLA claimed that the demographic profile/ population break up of Jharkhand clearly states that -

Tribals Constitute 27 % of the population.

Now...
After the formation of Jharkhand ( after bifurcation of Bihar ); the tribal leaders were able to corner a 30 % reservation chunk for TRIBALS alone, in the state of Jharkhand.

And... NO ONE could oppose it then and even so... till date.

So... 27 % population and 30 % reservation benfits sounds PRETTY GOOD deal for the native tribals.

ACTUALLY... WAY TOO GOODIE GOOD !!

EVERYONEs' TAKE -

FIRST-
Bihar was bifurcated to keep resurgent Lalu Prasad Yadav ( LPY ) and Nitish Kumar
( NK ) perpetually out of Jharkhand. Thereby limiting them to Bihar politics.

Well...
Some set of pretty smart guys figured out that this is the best was to deter an alliance BETWEEN the ( 27 % ) tribals of Jharkhand and the LIKES of LPY and NK.

And... these guys have been way TOO successful till NOW.

The tell-tale sign indicates that the time is about to run out for them pretty soon. Way too soon.

SECONDLY -
to corner the MOST mineral-rich Indian state in a few set of collective hands.
That includes some set of politicians in nexus with some potentially favored admininstrative and police officers. Also... does NOT rule out some (c)overt people in the judicial system.

All this is - NETWORKING. Plain and simple.

All this... To fix up or unduly favor someone.

Moving on... the MLAs further contested that...

Dalit population is 13 % in Jharkhand.

So, total SC + ST population = 13 + 27 = 40 %

Add to this...

the OBC+ MBC+ EBC population works out to around 55 % to 57 % .
Maybe 58 % ( per the newspaper report - if true ).

In effect this meant that SC ( 13 % ) + ST ( 27 % ) + OBC ( 55 % or 57 % or 58 % )
population works out to around BETWEEN -
13+ 27+ 55 = 95 % or 13+ 27+ 57 = 97 % or 98 % out of of the TOTAL population.

The MLAs' were complaining that 95% - 98 % of the population is limited to 49 % reservation limit set by the Supreme Court.

TO NOTE -
Actually... out of this 49 %  - STs alone get a whopping 30 % chunk.

So, in effect, 95% / 98% MINUS the ST quota ( = 27 % ) = 65 % to 68 % of the population are limited to 49 % - 30 % = 19% of the job + educational
opportunities. ONLY. In the reserved category.

Whilst ONLY 2-5 % of the population in open = general category have an open stake in a
whopping 51 % of the opportunities.

etc. etc. etc.

So, some set of MLAs' wanted the reseravtion stake for SC/ST/OBC's to be raised from the 49 % cap to 69 % / 72 % levels as in TamilNadu.

This demand sounded quite logical in the face of the reservation system in place in TamilNadu.


NOT HAPPENING !! the 3 % - 5 % 'minority-turned-majority' EVEN in the Jharkhand assembly, OVERRULED.

...

And, the Jharkhand CM supported this "NOT HAPPENING !!" clamour.
And helped lay to rest this 'unjustified' demand.

After all he has to save his CM's chair. For the BJP ( = RSS ) leadership will easily find any numbrer of reasons to dispalce him from his post/ position.
In NO time. Pronto.

In case his voice is in di-consoance with the party leadership.

Thereby the CM proved himself to be the party's man.

EXPECTED -
Even the CMs' kins-men would have expected...

Any CM should evolve as a mass leader. Rather than a party's appointee.
Mass leaders are ever-green.

NOT aaya-rams and gaya-rams type.

...

Whilst the MLAs who were of tribal origin MUST have looked amused. Nay... BEMUSED, actually.

Perhaps offering a DONT CARE attitude to the demand of these MLAs'.
Having already got the 30 % share since 2001. They DO NOT have to care. Do they ?

Imagine...
Tribal leaders laughing off ( albeit suppressed ... nay muted. Or, even OPENLY ) the OBC/ MBC/ EBC demand for raising the RESERVASSION CAP !!

Imagining this above ... I HAD a hearty laugh.

QUESTION -
Is it possible that the Jharkhand tribals had/ have a covert pact with some set of the elites, which led to the bifurcation of Bihar and creation of an independent Jharkhand state ??

The 30 % RESERVASSION for STs alone in the state of Jharkhand, states exactly the same.

Let the RESERVASSION votaries like LPY and NK figure this RIDDLE out.

If I had NOT objected to non-appointment of the COAS during Q1-Q2, 2014 ( owing to model code of conduct during national election times ) .

It is highly likely that there would have been another COAS.

In this context -
I recall one BJP leader from Bihar was insistent that the COAS be appointed after the elections were over i.e. once BJP comes to power.

WHY ? WHY SO ?

Is it possible that this might have meant that there would have been another COAS, per the BJP ( implies RSS as well ) core group/ coterie agenda.

I bet - YES.

Just making a bland point. Albeit an important one.

It might so happen that all the superficial differences across the diverse religions vanishes.

He seems to be talking of and explaining in terms of - SPIRITUALITY.

That is what SANATANA DHARMA is all about.


INTERESTING POINT -

And... "Ek Omkar Sat naam..."

I suggest that for this - he MUST take up 15 minute slots in the TV channels ( early evenings- between 07:15 PM to 09:15 PM ) for a few years alone.

QUESTION -
Is it possible that...
Gotra for a person was actually derived from his Guru's name @ Guru-Kul, in ancient times ?

Perhaps, even a Rishi's ( i.e. sage's ) name ?

Say, what about - from the Sapta Rishis ?

Looks like actually so.

Important to note that in Guru Parampara - all the disciples TAKE ON the gotra of the Rishi like Guru, in ancient times.

Was that the way it used to be ? Apparently... may be so.

That means that in a Guru's Ashram ( = Guru-Kul ) all the disciples OR shishyas coming from DIFFERENT walks of life ended up having the SAME Gotra after being initiated into Diksha by the SAMARTH GURU.
And, on leaving the Gurukul i.e. hermitage.

BTW - the word 'KUL' implies- family, extended family; lineage.

The concept of TwiceBorn ( Dwija ) -

Every human being is born to a set of biological parents.

In Sanatana Dharma... at some point in life...
Whilst, when a samarth Guru grants disciple-hood to an individual by giving that individual Diksha - the individual thereon becomes a TwiceBorn ( Dwija ) !

Diksha initiation by a Guru implies a process of re-birth for the individual.

Is it not this way ?

Now... IS IT NOT that ...
A bona-fide TRULY devoted shishya of a Samarth Guru resembles the Guru closely, over a period of 10/ 20/ 30 etc. years of devotion to Guru. Like a mirror image.

Those who have perceptive eyes/ vision can easily make out the Guru of an individual by a mere look at his photo or him/ her.

An instance -
In the book - "An autobiography of a Yogi" by Paramhamsa Yogananda we come across the instance where in Lahiri Mahashaya looks identically like the ageless SadGuru MahaAvtar Baba Ji.

Coming to the point, now...

Last year, I chanced on a great book - "SADHANA KE ANUBHAV", by -

Author : Samarth Guru Param-Sant Chaturbhuj Sahay Ji

Publisher : Ram-Ashram Satsang, Mathura.

Now, between pages (iv) and (v) one chances on the picture of -
Samarth Guru Mahatama Ram-Chandra Ji

And, just before page # 1 - we get to see the picture of Samarth Guru Param-Sant Chaturbhuj Sahay Ji .

Looking at the picture of both these divine men...
and... perhaps liberated men.

One is left with NO doubt that our PM Modi is in fact a REAL disciple of Ram-Ashram Satsang, Mathura. More of a real disciple/ follower of -
Samarth Guru Mahatama Ram-Chandra Ji .

As also of - Samarth Guru Param-Sant Chaturbhuj Sahay Ji .

One is, but, struck with the close resemblance.

The jeevan-mukta who passed off a few months back - could be one of PM Modi's other Gurus. Assuming that PM Modi has had more than one Guru !

Whilst PM Modi's real Guru is certainly - Samarth Guru Mahatama Ram-Chandra Ji / Samarth Guru Param-Sant Chaturbhuj Sahay Ji .

My take. Looking at the close resemblance.

Idea/ intention/ motive/ motivat‭ion for this post -

One MUST NOT waste / squander away... 0ne's -

1) precious and limited TIME,
2) hard earned ( And/ or - hard-LY earned ) MONEY, and
3) physical, mental, emotional ENERGIES !!

etc., etc. USELESSLY and UNNECESSARILY.

Now...
In the current times, people are hard pressed for TIME.

As such, SOME 'recurring thoughts' I am putting across for those set of people who think that going to the temple(s) and offering some prayers/ puja/ archana there-in AND spending their hard-earned money in temples ( in ANY form/ format/ scale ) is good for them and suffices as a religious rite.

Even if they were to indulge in this activity, once in a while. Say - weekly / fort-nightly/ monthly.

My take -
Certainly... that'll be for sure good.


There is a CAVEAT -
But, in general, a MUCH BETTER method I am putting here-with- belows.

It does NOT cost ( in terms of : time, money, energy, etc. ) much.



111) For those who have faith in Lord Shiva/ Shakti -

MUST place a Narmadeshwara Shivalinga ( these are sourced from the Narmada river ) in the place of worship.

( Small/ medium sized Narmadeshwara Shivalinga has NO need for any 'pran-prathistha' ritual.
Lord Shiva resides, by default, as the saying goes. )

"Narmada ka kankar-kankar Shiv... "

NOW...

Easiest way to propitiate Lord Shiva is...
( To be performed DAILY )

AA) Perform Jala-Abhishek ( Offering/ bathing with water ).

Here -
a) Even a little amount of water offered by a metal ( say - copper ) tumbler, shall suffice.

b) After performing the 'abhishek' this energised water may be offered to the roots of a plant/ tree or else offered to the ( say, rising ) SUN using a copper tumbler ( lota ).

c) One Must treat this energised water with all the due respect.

BB) Thereafter, offer AT LEAST one Bilwa (Bel) leaf.
To be offered face down on the Narmadeshwara Shivalinga.

CC) The mantra to be chanted mean-while ( during abhishek and offering of bilva leaf ) may be any of -

a) OM NAMAH SHIVAYE
b) OM NAMO BHAGVATE RUDRA-YE
c) Any of the forms of the Mrityunjaya or Maha-mrityunjaya mantra should suffice -

Say -

OM TRAYAMBAK-AM YAJA-MAHE SUGAN-DHIM PUSHTI-VARADHA-NAM
OORVA-RUKA-MIVA BANDHA-NAAT MRIT-YOR-MUKSHAYEE MAATRII-TAAT !!


NOTE  -
Shakti HERSELF is resident in the Narmadeshwara Shivalinga ( which is = Lord Shiva ) HIMSELF and vice-versa.

So... one gets the fruits of Shakti worship, as well,
while praying/ offering worship to Narmadeshwara Shivalinga.


Why I am stating ALL this is... SO THAT FOR THE PEOPLE... there is NO need to run around here and there.

i.e. to THIS temple and THAT temple.

Must DO this if you have faith in this simple ritual.
Else MUST NOT think about the same.

Especially if one wants to squander one's hard earned money/ time and energies in any of - a,b,c... x,y,z temples.

Advantage -
Kids in the family get some 'samskar', early on in life.

This energizes one's residence with the Shiva-Shakti energies.

222) For those who have faith in Lord Vishnu/ Narayana -

MUST place a Shaligrama stone ( found in the Gandaki river in Nepal ) in the place of worship.

NOTE -
Lord Narayana along-with Goddess Lakshmi is said to be naturally residing in the Shaligrama.

Easiest way to propitiate Lord Vishnu/ Narayana is...

AA) Offer at least some rock candy and/ or jaggery to
the Shaligrama. Along with some leaves of Tulsi.

Everyday.

Later... one can partake of this offerings; as prasadam.

BB) The mantra to be chanted mean-while ( before, during or
after offering the 'prsadam' to HIM ) may be ANY/ ALL of -

a) OM NAMO BHAGVATE VASU-DEVAYE
b) OM NAMO NARAYAN-A-YE
c) OM NAMO VENKATESH-A-YE
d) OM NAMO GOVIND-A-YE
e) OM NAMO MADHAV-A-YE
f) KLEEM KRISHNA KLEEM
g) SHRI RAMA JAYA RAMA JAYA JAYA RAMA

etc., etc.

There can be many more mantras to propitiate Lord Vishnu/ Narayana.
One can always select any one of those that suits one's liking/ taste.

NOTE -
Both Lakshmi and Narayana NATURALLY reside in the Shaligrama stone.
As such... whilst worshipping Lord Narayana we are worshipping Goddess Lakhsmi, as well.


333) For those who have faith in Lord Vishnu or Narayana AS WELL as Lord Shiva -

One MAY, for sure, place BOTH - a Narmadeshwara Shivalinga as well as a Shaligrama in the place of worship.
And perform worship in the afore-said format.

This hardly takes 3-5 minutes.

This is BEST.

444) For a round of mantra chantings- one can easily source a Rudraksha bead mala for the Shiva mantras; alternately -

a Tulsi bead mala for the Sri Hari mantras.

555) In either case one MAY light a lamp ( this will be good ), incense and/ or camphor.


NOTABLE END-POINT -
There is NO point running around going to ALL the temples.

SPENDING ONE'S VITAL - TIME, MONEY AND ENERGIES.

Better have the above mentioned sacred items at home. Briefly pray to/ worship them EVERYDAY.

Any/ all members of the family ( husband, wife, etc. ) can do so.

Most importantly - one MUST focus ALL ones' energies to ones' WORK.

WORK implies ones' means of LIVELIHOOD.

Say... one will have dependents.

No deity in no temple will take care of them or even their basic needs.
One has to by means of WORK... and WORK alone.

Thereby - effectively one saves- time, money and energy.

ONE MUST NOT FOLLOW THE CROWD AND BECOME A SHEEP IN THE HERD.

Talking about "bhed-chaal" here.

Of course  - renowned/ ancient, etc. temples/ peethas one MUST visit; as and when appropriate. Once in a while, IFF in close vicinity.

Say... if one visits a town/ city for some personal work.
And some ancient teerth or temple is nearby.
Then one can go and pay tributes.

There is NO point going 300/ 800/ 1000/ 1500/ 2500 kms. away... just in the name of pilgrimage.

This message esp. - for young people.

ALL THIS I am putting forth... after visiting several many of temples over the last 10-20-25 years.

Today, feeling that I enriched the people around the temple's eco system.

Thereby ALL THE WHILE ... reducing my available funds ( = money ) ... albeit this is a rather slow process.

( And... still the Gods / Goddesses seem like unhappy. )

For instance...
Several years back... I went to pray to/ pay respects to Shani Maharaj @ Shingnapur ( MH ) ...

Offered Shani Maharaj 1 litre mustard oil AND 1 litre Gingelly ( til ) oil.

( Stating this fact... in lighter note. Albeit to drive a point. )

Well... well... well...
even that SEEMS TO HAVE NOT appeased or pleased Shani Maharaj; till this day.

Point is... one's KARMA appeases or pleases ANY/ ALL Gods or Goddesses.

NOT plain dogmatic rituals ALONE.

Must have heard- "Boond-boond se ghada bharta hai."

Then, listen to this as well...

"Boond-boond choone se ek bhara hua ghada khali bhi ho jata hai."

Not sure if this guy meant he was referring to myself and Chief !!

How and Why ? Why so ?
What if the "kaanta" pricks or pierces if mishandled ?

3) Would expect anti-national elements to go for a certain treaty/ agreement <- mE view.

4) Not sure if the Captain is a cat ?

If so, then what variety - pussy (domestic ), Cheshire ( Angrezi ) or Junglee Billi ??

Sanatan Dharma sure has truths that are being exhumed, one by one. That's good. Sounds, for sure, great. Is great. We ALL sure do appreciate it.
And remain... grateful to you and team.

Now...
I CAN tell very aptly and concisely why Judaism, Jainism, Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, etc. faiths / religions AROSE. Spread and took root. As also Sikhism.

All this suggests that there had to be a vacuum somewhere. A void.

WHY ?

There was a NEED felt by the Almighty - and that NEED was fulfilled  ...was answered.

Now...
Whilst going after me... have you people NOT demonstrated YET AGAIN why Dharma failed ?

And... why Sanatana Dharma, overall, failed to deliver to the max potential ?

Point is... what you ALL indulge in is - A-DHARMIC.

So... even if you rave and rant for 10/ 20/ 30 more years...

All will fall flat on the majority of the world audience. As also great deal of the Indian people.

They will see -> observe -> perceive the BASE reality. And interpret. And... infer.
